What’s new for 2025

The most notable updates for 2025 are visual and compliance-focused. Three new dual-tone paint schemes give the bike a fresh look, while the engine now meets the stricter OBD-2B emission norms. While the peak power and torque figures remain the same, the engine got some minor hardware tweaks to meet these new regulations while retaining its legendary performance. It’s the kind of update that keeps the bike current without resetting the formula.

Engine and performance

The heart is the same: a 1,340 cc liquid-cooled inline-four with a broad torque curve and 6-speed gearbox. Claimed figures are 190 hp and 150 Nm which is plenty for effortless overtakes and high-speed cruising. Top speed is electronically limited, a standard practice for hyperbikes. But the true strength of the Hayabusa’s engine lies in its accessible power delivery which provides a strong and unflustered surge of acceleration from the midrange – perfect for both highway cruising and quick overtakes.

S.I.R.S. rider tech

Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) continues to provide a comprehensive suite of electronic aids. Features like Motion Track ABS, Hill Hold and bi-directional quickshifter make the bike both safer and more user-friendly in various riding conditions. Note that while the international 2025 Hayabusa got some minor electronic updates, the India-spec model retains the existing S.I.R.S. package without these additions.

Chassis and hardware

KYB suspension and Brembo Stylema front calipers are familiar and confidence-inspiring. The bodywork still works its aero magic: low stance, wind-cheating fairing and that signature ‘Busa profile that stays planted at speed. Day to day it’s about stability and comfort as much as it is about numbers.

Price and availability

The 2025 Hayabusa is now available in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹16.90 lakh. This price is for the standard model with the new color schemes. This positions the bike as a strong value proposition in the superbike segment. For context, the previously launched “25th Anniversary Celebration Edition” of the Hayabusa was priced at a premium of ₹17.70 lakh.
