If you thought the current Nexon EV was cool, Tata’s next-gen is going to blow your mind. Built on the new Acti.ev platform, the next-gen Tata Nexon EV will launch around Diwali 2025 and it’s not just a minor update – it’s a complete overhaul.

This is Tata’s first Nexon EV designed from the ground up for electric power and the changes are… big.

Massive Range, Faster Charging

Here’s the headline: the new Nexon EV will get a 55 kWh battery (up from the current 45 kWh max), with an ARAI-certified range of up to 585 km. That kind of range changes the EV game for Indian roads.

Thanks to the Acti.ev platform, it will support DC fast charging up to 150kW (though it may launch with 70kW like the Curvv.ev). Even so, 10-80% charge will take just 30-40 minutes, so highway pit stops will be a breeze.

Tech You Didn’t See Coming

Tata’s going all in on cabin tech. Expect a dual 12.3-inch display setup – one for infotainment, the other for a digital instrument cluster.

But wait, there’s more:

  • JBL 9-speaker system with subwoofer
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
  • Arcade.ev app suite
  • Backlit 2-spoke steering with glowing Tata logo
  • Smart Digital Shifter & Phygital (touch + physical) controls

This thing looks and feels like a higher segment car.

Safety & Convenience Next Level

It’s not just pretty screens and fast charging. The new Nexon EV is bringing the big guns for safety and smart features:

  • Expect Level 2 driver assistance tech, with smart features like the ability to maintain lanes, adjust cruising speed with traffic, and hit the brakes automatically if things get dicey.
  • Six airbags standard across all variants
  • Summon mode to move your car remotely – no more tight parking struggles
  • 360-degree camera + Blind View Monitor
  • You also get gesture-operated boot access, flush-fitting door handles, and even a front storage compartment (frunk) for added practicality.
  • Carryover of V2L and V2V functionality to power external gadgets or charge another EV

Design: Futuristic but Familiar

Tata hasn’t shown the final design yet but expect fresh styling inspired by their newer EV concepts – Smart Digital DRLs, animated welcome/goodbye sequences, updated grille and lighting cues.
