2026 BMW R 1300 GS Launched with New Colors, India Arrival Soon

BMW Motorrad has unveiled the 2026 BMW R 1300 GS with new colors for its flagship adventure motorcycle. The bike remains mechanically unchanged but the fresh paint schemes add more visual excitement to the globally acclaimed ADV.

While the updated model is not launched in India yet, it will arrive in the coming months through BMW Motorrad dealerships.

What’s New?

Design is the focus this year. Two new colors have been added to the R 1300 GS range:

• Racing Red – A sporty and bold color for the trail.
• Option 719 Imperial Blue Metallic with White Aluminum Metallic Matte – A premium dual-tone finish for a more sophisticated look.

These join existing favorites Style Triple Black and GS Trophy Racing Blue Metallic to give riders more options to personalize their machine.

Same Proven Power and Performance

Underneath the new paint, the R 1300 GS continues with its trusted setup – a 1300cc boxer twin that pushes out 145 hp and 149 Nm, delivering the same strong and balanced performance riders expect.

Suspension is handled by Telelever at the front and Paralever at the rear for confident handling on highways and off-road trails in India

Rider-Focused Tech

No changes have been made. The R 1300 GS still has:

• Multiple Riding Modes to suit different conditions
• Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) for a smoother ride
• Radar-based Cruise Control for fatigue-free touring
• TFT Digital Instrument Cluster with smartphone connectivity
• Safety features like lean-sensitive ABS Pro and Traction Control

Optional features include Adaptive Vehicle Height Control and Automated Shift Assistant (ASA), making the big GS easier to handle in city or rough terrain.

Fuel Tank & Mileage

The standard variant gets a 19-litre fuel tank, while the Adventure version gets a massive 30-litre tank. Claimed mileage is around 21 kmpl (ARAI), enough for long distance touring.

While BMW India hasn’t announced a launch date, the 2026 R 1300 GS is expected to arrive in Indian showrooms soon. Price will be similar to the current model with a small premium for the new colors.
