Two Battery Options, Up to 490 km

Buyers can choose from four well-equipped variants, split between two battery configurations to suit different range and performance needs.

  • 42 kWh (Standard Range): 404 km certified range, 135 bhp motor, 255 Nm.
  • 51.4 kWh (Extended Range): 490 km range, 171 bhp motor, 255 Nm.

The extended variant does 0–100 km/h in just 8.4 seconds, that’s quick for an MPV.

Fast Charging, Everyday Convenience

For quick top-ups, both batteries support 100 kW DC fast charging. 10% to 80% in 39 minutes. Home charging is also covered – an 11 kW AC charger takes 4–4.75 hours to fully charge, depending on the variant.

Feature-Loaded Cabin with Tech to Match

Kia hasn’t skimped on features. Highlights include:

  • 26.62-inch panoramic dual display (12.25-inch infotainment + 12.25-inch digital cluster)
  • Level 2 ADAS with 20 functions
  • One-touch tumble second-row for easy third-row access
  • Panoramic sunroof (HTX+ ER)
  • Ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, and air purifier with AQI
  • Also onboard is Kia’s smart i-Pedal tech for single-pedal driving, a premium 8-speaker audio setup by Bose in higher trims, and V2L functionality that lets the vehicle power external devices.
  • 25-litre frunk adds extra storage

All features are designed to make life easier for families.

Positioning and Rivals

While it has a segment-first advantage as an electric MPV, the Kia Carens Clavis EV will compete indirectly with upcoming electric SUVs like Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Harrier EV and MG Windsor EV. It also offers a more affordable alternative to premium MPVs like BYD eMax7.
