The much-awaited VinFast VF 7 India launch is finally happening in August and the Vietnamese EV brand has now shared key details including variant names, features and colours. Local assembly will take place in Tamil Nadu and the VF 7 is looking to make a strong debut in the premium electric SUV segment.
Variants: Earth, Wind and Sky
VinFast will offer the VF 7 in three trims – Earth, Wind and Sky – each with a unique drivetrain and performance focus.
- VF 7 Earth will be the front-wheel-drive base variant with around 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque and a 450 km (WLTP) range. This one will be for city commuters and efficiency-focused buyers.
- The Wind and Sky variants of the VF 7 are expected to use a dual-motor AWD setup that puts out a strong 354 hp and 500 Nm, offering quick acceleration and better control. With a 0-100 kmph time of just 5.8 seconds and a slightly lower range of 431 km, these trims will be sportier and more dynamic.
Features-wise, the higher trims will get a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system compared to a 12.9-inch unit on the Earth variant.
Six Colours to choose from
Buyers will get to choose from six distinct exterior shades, giving the VF 7 a vibrant and customizable look.

- Desat Silver
- Infinity Blanc
- Crimson Red
- Zenith Grey
- Urban Mint
All variants are expected to feature a rich Mocca Brown and black interior, offering a dual-tone theme that adds a premium touch to the cabin.
Interior Tech and Safety Features
The cabin will be loaded with premium touches and smart tech:
- The VF 7’s infotainment setup includes built-in Google voice control, live software updates, and a heads-up display that projects key info on the windshield.
- Ventilated front seats, reclining rear seats, panoramic sunroof
- Wireless charging and dual-zone climate control
- Safety features like Level 2 ADAS, 360° camera and up to 8 airbags
All variants will come with 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
