Skoda India is preparing to launch the 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift early next year. With design, safety and transmission upgrades, the mid-size SUV is set to get an edge over rivals like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
New Look with Skoda’s Global Design Language
Skoda is giving the Kushaq a visual refresh inspired by its new “Modern Solid” design language, lending it a more assertive and contemporary stance. Expect a more upright grille with vertical slats, sleeker LED headlamps and a revised bumper. The addition of a connected LED DRL bar will add to its road presence, inspired by global Skoda models like Kodiaq.
Around the sides, new black alloy wheels will give a sportier look while the rear will get boomerang-shaped LED tail-lamps and an LED light bar to give a wider stance. These updates will make the Kushaq look more premium and modern.
Feature Packed Cabin with Major Safety Upgrades
Inside, the facelifted Kushaq will get a tech-laden cabin. While full details are under wraps, expect updated dashboard trims, premium materials and possibly soft-touch elements.
A major highlight is the introduction of Level 2 ADAS features, a first for the Kushaq. These could include:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Lane keep assist
- Automatic emergency braking
- Auto high beam assist
Other expected updates include a digital instrument cluster, a refined infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a much requested 360-degree camera for urban driving.
Same Engines, Smoother Drive with New 8-Speed Auto
The facelift will retain its petrol engines:
- 1.0L TSI (115 PS, 178 Nm) with 6-speed MT or AT
- The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine delivers a punchy 150 PS and 250 Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a smooth-shifting 7-speed DSG automatic.
The big news is a new 8-speed automatic gearbox coming later in 2026 for the 1.0L variant. This transmission is aimed at improving efficiency and meeting future CAFE norms.
Price and Launch
Skoda is likely to unveil the facelifted Kushaq by late 2025 or in the early months of 2026. With the added features, prices could start at ₹11 lakh (ex-showroom), slightly higher than the current model.
