There’s something about classic motorcycles that tugs at the heart, and BSA Motorcycles knows exactly how to strike that chord. The brand, now revived by Classic Legends, has just unveiled two new machines that blend heritage and modern muscle — the Scrambler 650 and the Bantam 350.
Scrambler 650: Made for Indian Riders Who Crave More
When I first saw the Scrambler 650, it instantly gave off that go-anywhere confidence. Built on the proven Gold Star 650 platform but reworked for adventure, this bike is designed with India in mind. The upright stance, wire-spoke wheels, and purposeful dual-purpose tyres all point to a machine that’s itching to leave the tarmac.
Under the tank sits a 652cc single-cylinder engine delivering 45hp and 55Nm of torque, which should feel strong and responsive whether you’re dodging potholes in city traffic or hitting weekend trails. The Brembo brakes, tall seat height, and Pirelli Scorpion Rally STRs hint that this one isn’t afraid of a little mud.
Set to launch in India by end of 2025, and priced around ₹3.40 to ₹3.60 lakh, the Scrambler 650 will take on the likes of Royal Enfield Scram 411 and Triumph Scrambler 400 X but with more grunt and a premium edge.
Bantam 350: A Global Throwback With Purpose
On the other side of the map, BSA has brought back a name from its post-war glory days — the Bantam 350. This lightweight retro-styled motorcycle is meant for global markets, especially Europe, and while it shares its engine roots with Jawa and Yezdi, it carries a completely different soul.
With 29 BHP, 6-speed gearbox, and retro paint options like Oxford Blue and Firecracker Red, it’s clear this bike is meant to turn heads in urban cafes and scenic countryside rides. At 185 kg wet, it’s accessible and beginner-friendly, but with enough personality to make a seasoned rider smile.

What I like is how BSA Motorcycles is clearly defining its lineup. India gets the high-powered Scrambler 650, while global riders get the stylish and practical Bantam 350. Both carry BSA’s legacy forward in their own unique ways.
