New patent images give us our best look yet at the 2025 Toyota Hilux and the changes are not subtle. The leaked designs show a bolder, more modern pickup ready to make its mark in global markets.
Up front, the Hilux has a big, bold grille that commands attention. Slim LED headlights with eyebrow-style DRLs give it a sharper, more aggressive face and the new bumper adds a tougher, more purposeful edge. At the rear, redesigned LED taillights and a built-in bumper step promise easier access for loading and unloading.
Inside, the transformation is just as dramatic. Look for a large floating display, a digital driver’s cluster, and upgrades like an electronic parking brake with shifted AC vents. Expect a big floating screen, a fully digital instrument cluster and thoughtful touches like an electronic parking brake and repositioned AC vents. Higher trims could even get ventilated seats and a head-up display.
Underneath, the Hilux is likely to stick with its proven IMV ladder-frame chassis and the 2.8L turbo-diesel engine. A 48V mild-hybrid is expected and there’s talk of a future plug-in hybrid. With these changes, the 2025 Hilux could be Toyota’s most attractive pickup yet.
