Renault India has announced that the New Renault Kiger Facelift will launch on August 24, 2025. This mid-life update brings updated styling, new features and tried-and-tested petrol engines to keep the brand’s popular subcompact SUV competitive. The launch coincides with the festive season, the peak time for car sales in India.
New Look Outside
The facelift gets a sharper identity with Renault’s new 2D diamond logo seen first on the Triber. Expect a new front grille, revised bumpers and possibly new headlamp clusters. At the back, the signature C-shaped LED tail lamps will get a new internal pattern. Other updates could include new alloy wheels, fresh paint options and a shark-fin antenna for a sportier, more premium look.
Cabin Upgrades and Features
Inside, the facelifted Kiger is expected to get new upholstery and a new colour scheme inspired from the Triber facelift. A new free-standing touchscreen infotainment unit could bring improved responsiveness and a sleeker interface. Key features expected to remain:
- 8-inch infotainment display supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
- Virtual instrument cluster
- Automatic climate control
- Wireless phone charging
- Steering-mounted controls
Same Powertrain Lineup
Renault will continue with its proven petrol engines:
- 1.0L Naturally Aspirated Petrol – 72 PS, 96 Nm, with 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT
- 1.0L Turbo Petrol – 100 PS, 160 Nm, with 5-speed manual or CVT automatic
There’s a chance of a factory-fitted CNG variant which will appeal to buyers looking for lower running costs.
Price Expectation and Rivals
A slight price hike over the current range of ₹6.15 lakh to ₹11.23 lakh (ex-showroom) is expected. Once launched, the Kiger facelift will compete with Nissan Magnite, Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza.
