KTM has unwrapped the 2026 KTM 690 Enduro R, with big changes to one of the most popular dual-sport bikes on the market. A new engine, advanced electronics and sharper styling, KTM is pushing the boundaries of single cylinder motorcycles.
Engine and Performance
At the heart of the 2026 KTM 690 Enduro R is the updated 693cc LC4 single-cylinder engine, now Euro 5+ compliant.With almost 50% of its parts redesigned, the updated LC4 engine now delivers an impressive 79 PS (78 hp) and 73 Nm of torque, securing its spot as the most powerful single-cylinder in production. It’s the most powerful production single cylinder engine and back on top in the dual-sport segment.
Technology and Electronics
For 2026 KTM has made a big leap in rider focused tech. Riders now get a modern 4.2-inch TFT screen, updated handlebar controls and the convenience of a built-in USB-C port. Safety and performance electronics include:
- Cornering ABS and Cornering MTC
- Street and Offroad modes
- The new Dynamic Slip Adjust system (part of RALLY mode) which adapts traction control to the terrain in real time.
Chassis and Suspension
The Enduro R still has a chromoly steel trellis frame but with a new stiffness profile for better feedback. The WP XPLOR suspension has been fine tuned for a balance of comfort and control across all terrain. Practical updates include new mounting points for a center stand and a redesigned skid plate for better protection.
Design and Ergonomics
KTM has sharpened the styling with aggressive bodywork and in-mold graphics. The ergonomics are inspired by the EXC-F enduro family, designed to give you more movement on trails and highways. A new LED headlight for better night time visibility.
Pricing and Availability
The 2026 KTM 690 Enduro R will hit European dealers from September 2025, with the UK price set at £10,499 OTR. Prices for other regions will be announced closer to launch.
