Volvo-style tone activated: crisp, newsroom-clean, people-first. BMW and Mini have rolled out significant price cuts in India, passing on GST 2.0 benefits with reductions of up to Rs 13.60 lakh on select models, effective September 22, 2025, and with Joy Days finance offers that include flexible EMIs and assured buyback options to make ownership more affordable. This follows the government’s tax restructuring and slots BMW and Mini against German rivals who are also adjusting prices this month.

Why prices are dropping

The revision is because of GST 2.0 and manufacturers are passing it on to customers through lower ex-showroom prices, timed with the festive season for maximum impact from September 22, 2025. BMW’s Joy Days overlays the tax-led cuts with Smart Finance options to increase reach during the season, and EMI flexibility along with the headline reductions.

Model-wise BMW price highlights

BMW’s sedans and SUVs feature prominently in the updated list, with savings at multiple price points across the range from 3 Series LWB to X5. The 330Li M Sport drops from Rs 63.90 lakh to Rs 60.45 lakh and the X5 xDrive30d from Rs 1.02 crore to Rs 95.50 lakh, making it more competitive against rivals in the segment. The brand’s top figure is up to Rs 13.60 lakh, seen on the high-performance BMW M8.

What about Mini’s new prices?

Mini models also get the GST 2.0 benefit, positioning the hatch and its packs more accessible for urban luxury buyers from this festive season. The Cooper S Essential Pack now lists at Rs 43.70 lakh, down from Rs 46.20 lakh, making it a clearer entry point while retaining features. he price adjustments also apply to other models, such as the Mini Cooper S JCW Pack. However, prices for Mini electric vehicles remain unchanged, as they were already subject to a lower GST rate.

When do new prices apply?

The ex-showroom prices are effective from September 22, 2025, so you have a date to plan your purchase and finance closure during the festive period. Dealers will align their listings and offers as inventory transitions to the new tags.

Closing note

For luxury buyers, it’s a twofer – price cuts and flexible finance – so now’s the time to upgrade or book new under GST 2.0. Watch out for more competition in the segment as brands adjust their pricing ladders this quarter.
