Bajaj Auto July Sales Rise on Export Surge, Domestic Demand Slips

I’ve seen Bajaj Auto bounce back before, but this July, the numbers told a very clear story. Growth came from abroad. The streets of India might’ve seen fewer new Bajaj bikes, but ports were busy shipping them out.

Here’s what stood out

Bajaj Auto clocked 366,000 units in July 2025. That’s a 3 percent rise from last year. Sounds mild, right? But dig deeper, and it’s the exports doing the heavy lifting.

Overseas sales jumped 28 percent to 182,857 units. Two-wheelers alone grew 22 percent. What really grabbed my attention though was commercial vehicle exports. They soared by 79 percent. That’s not a bump, that’s a leap.

Back home, the ride wasn’t so smooth. Domestic sales dropped 13 percent, dragged mostly by a sharp 18 percent fall in two-wheelers. Only the commercial vehicles segment gave a bit of relief with a 4 percent uptick.

Between April and July this year, exports grew 19 percent while domestic numbers fell by 9 percent. It’s clear Bajaj is playing the global game smart.

For me, this isn’t just about numbers. It’s about how Bajaj Auto is pivoting. While the Indian market hits the brakes, it’s the world that’s keeping their wheels spinning.
