Why it matters
BMW G 310 RR Limited Edition India is coming as a numbered, India-only run of 310 units, making the most accessible supersport from BMW even more exclusive, especially as the single-cylinder 310 range is speculated to be winding down.
Limited run and launch timing
BMW Motorrad India has teased a limited-edition G 310 RR capped at 310 units with a numbered tank badge in official teasers. Multiple outlets indicate the launch is imminent, likely before or around the festive season, as per the recent teaser schedule.
What’s new on the outside
Expect a black, red and blue exclusive livery and a numbered plaque on the tank for each of the 310 units. Visual and aero tweaks seen on the Apache RR 310 – like winglets, transparent clutch cover and new alloy wheels – are speculated but not confirmed by BMW.
Features: confirmed vs unconfirmed
This limited edition is primarily a cosmetic package, and mechanical changes are unannounced. Core hardware from the standard bike is expected to carry over, including its ride-by-wire throttle and four riding modes. Speculative features mirrored from the updated Apache, such as a bi-directional quickshifter, cruise control, and launch control, are not yet verified for the BMW at the time of writing.
Engine and performance
The current G 310 RR has a 312 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with 6-speed gearbox, 34 PS and 27.3 Nm, top speed of about 160 km/h. Some reports suggest BMW might tap into the Apache’s recent tune to 38 hp and 29 Nm but others claim the limited edition will be cosmetic only so any output bump is uncertain.
Ride, handling and safety
The bike’s familiar hardware – 41 mm USD fork, rear monoshock, 300 mm front and 240 mm rear discs with standard dual-channel ABS – should continue unchanged for the limited edition. A numbered badge and livery makes it exclusive but no fresh safety ratings or homologation notes are announced yet.

Price and availability
Following the recent GST 2.0 reforms, the standard BMW G 310 RR’s price has been reduced to ₹2.81 lakh (ex-showroom). The limited edition is expected to carry a small premium of around ₹10,000 over this new price, putting its estimated ex-showroom cost around ₹2.90 lakh. The final sticker price will be announced at the official launch.
Rivals and context
The TVS Apache RR 310 shares the platform and now claims 38 hp and 29 Nm plus quickshifter and launch control so if BMW keeps it cosmetic it will be the tech benchmark. The KTM RC 390 is the performance outlier with a 399 cc engine and 46 PS and sets the power ceiling in this segment.
Conclusion
For the buyer the BMW G 310 RR Limited Edition India is about exclusivity and final chapter appeal – limited numbers, unique looks and collectible value – while the core performance and hardware remains the same unless BMW confirms Apache-matching upgrades at launch.
