The BMW G 310 RR Limited Edition has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹2.99 lakh to celebrate 10,000-unit sales, available at all BMW Motorrad dealerships and with a production run signified by a ‘1/310’ badge.

What’s new

BMW Motorrad is marking the milestone with a visually unique Limited Edition featuring full-body decals, rim graphics and exclusive badging, in Cosmic Black and Polar White.

Design inspiration is taken from the S 1000 RR, with gold USD forks, Champion’s Dome and aerodynamic fairing elements for stronger showroom presence.

Price and availability

The Limited Edition is priced at ₹2.99 lakh (ex-showroom), a ₹18,000 premium over the recent standard price and is available across all BMW Motorrad India dealerships from launch.

This is a celebratory, numbered run so the pricing is more about exclusivity and cosmetic enhancements rather than mechanical changes.

Engine and performance

Power comes from a 312.2cc, water-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 34 bhp (25 kW) at 9,700 rpm and 27.3 Nm at 7,700 rpm in Track/Sport modes, with a 6-speed gearbox and anti-hopping clutch.

In Urban/Rain modes, output is reduced to 25.8 PS and 25 Nm for a more friendly response, as part of its ride-by-wire electronics package.

Key features

  • 4 riding modes: Track, Sport, Urban, Rain, to suit different conditions via ride-by-wire.
  • 5-inch TFT display with customizable layouts and full-LED lighting.
  • Dual-channel ABS with rear wheel lift-off protection for confident braking.

Hardware and tyres

The chassis has upside-down 41 mm forks and a monoshock on a tubular frame, with 300 mm front and 240 mm rear discs and ABS.

Michelin Pilot Street radial tyres on 17-inch wheels for agility and everyday grip in this entry-level supersport class.

Visual changes

The Limited Edition gets a new decal kit on the fairing, fender, tank and wheel rims, in BMW’s motorsport colorway for stronger presence.

A ‘1/310’ tank badge to highlight the limited-run nature, without changing the core mechanicals.## Market context

This is over 10,000 units sold in India for the G 310 RR, so the brand is clearly seeing strong demand for its entry-level fully-faired bike.
The Limited Edition adds exclusivity and branding value to the standard G 310 RR in the sub-400cc space.

Expert commentary

Initial reports say the package is cosmetic, with no mechanical or feature upgrades beyond the decals and numbering.

For those who value brand appeal and rarity, the premium may be justified, but for those who are value-focused, they may want to compare the price to competitors with performance upgrades.

Competitive comparison

  • TVS Apache RR 310: Same core package with BTO upgrades and performance tyres at similar price points depending on spec.
  • KTM RC 390: More power and track-focused hardware at a higher price point, for those who want outright performance.

Should buyers consider it?

Riders drawn to BMW branding, S 1000 RR-inspired aesthetics, and limited-run exclusivity will find strong emotional appeal with everyday-friendly performance.
Those seeking tangible performance gains over the standard model should note the unchanged mechanicals and evaluate rivals with hardware upgrades.

Call to action

Bookings are open at BMW Motorrad dealerships, with limited availability likely driving quick interest for collectors and brand enthusiasts.
