I drove the new 2025 Maruti S-Presso Facelift recently and right from the start it felt like a car that knew exactly who it was made for. If you’ve ever struggled with narrow roads, fought for parking or groaned at rising fuel prices, you’ll get why this compact hatchback still makes so much sense in today’s world.
Small Outside, Surprisingly Big Inside
The updates are subtle but effective. The bumpers look chunkier, the grille looks more confident and the overall stance gives off that mini-SUV vibe Maruti’s been pushing. But once I got in I was reminded of what makes the S-Presso tick—space. There’s a lot of room here, especially for a car of this size. The high seating position still gives you that ‘above the crowd’ feel and with features like a touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and even steering mounted controls it doesn’t feel bare bones at all.
The Star of the Show: Fuel Efficiency
Now let’s talk numbers. This isn’t a car for performance enthusiasts, it’s a car for people who want to squeeze every rupee out of their fuel tank. The petrol variant gives you up to 25.3 kmpl and the CNG version? An unbelievable 32.73 km/kg. I’ve driven CNG cars before but this one hits that sweet spot between power and savings. It may not roar down highways but in city traffic it’s smooth, nimble and just does the job quietly and efficiently.

Still One of the Easiest Cars to Own
Priced starting at just ₹4.27 lakh and going up to ₹6.12 lakh it’s hard to argue with the value here. It includes dual airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold on AMT models and rear sensors, offering everything you need to drive stress-free.
If you’re a first time buyer, a city commuter or someone looking to cut down on monthly running costs the 2025 S-Presso facelift might be exactly what you’re looking for. It’s not flashy. It’s not loud. But it delivers every single day.
