The next-gen Mahindra Bolero has been spotted testing and the changes are quite evident. It still has the boxy stance but now has a more upright grille, circular LED projector headlamps with DRLs and squared-off wheel arches which give it a tougher and premium look. Flush-fitting door handles and alloy wheels add to the modernity.
Spy shots also reveal a major cabin overhaul. The dashboard gets a cleaner design with a floating touchscreen expected to support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A fresh three-spoke steering wheel along with additions such as a semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control and a panoramic sunroof might make this the most feature-packed Bolero yet.
Under the hood, Mahindra is likely to use an updated 1.5L mHawk diesel with a more powerful version for better performance. Built on the company’s new NFA monocoque platform, the SUV will offer better comfort, handling and safety with top trims getting six airbags and ADAS.
If these features make it to production, the Bolero will finally bridge its rugged legacy with a far more refined driving experience.
