Opel Grandland SUV Unveiled With Redesign, Electric Power & Cutting-Edge Tech
The new Opel Grandland SUV is here and it’s a big one. Opel’s family-friendly SUV has been fully reimagined with a new face, tech-filled interior and a serious push towards electrification. Built on the STLA Medium platform by Stellantis, it’s smarter, cleaner and bolder than ever.
Bold Exterior, Bigger Dimensions
Opel’s signature Vizor grille now defines the Grandland’s front end, with slimmer LED headlamps and an illuminated logo for a futuristic look. At the back, a full-width light bar and new “OPEL” wordmark add a premium touch, while the larger size (now 4650mm long) gives it more road presence.
Standout lighting tech includes Intelli-Lux Pixel Matrix HD headlights with 50,000 LEDs for precise lighting without blinding others.
Inside: Clean Design, More Comfort
The interior is all about digital minimalism and ergonomics. Opel’s Pure Panel cockpit stretches across the dash, with a wide digital instrument cluster and a 16-inch touchscreen angled towards the driver. There’s also a new Intelli-HUD, keeping important info in line of sight.
But it’s the seats that are the stars. AGR certified Intelli-Seats are made from recycled materials, have pressure-relief tech, heating, cooling, massage and even adjustable bolsters in higher trims. Rear passengers get more legroom too.
Electrified for the Future
Beyond its striking appearance, the updated Opel Grandland SUV packs serious substance under the skin. It’s ready for the electric age with three powertrains:
- 100% Electric (BEV): Up to 700 km WLTP range with 98 kWh battery. Power starts at 210 hp.
- Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV): Combines a 1.6-litre petrol engine with an electric motor to deliver a total output of 195 hp, while offering an improved electric-only range of up to 85 km – ideal for short daily commutes.
- Mild Hybrid: 1.2L petrol with 28 hp electric assist, 136 hp overall.
Full of Safety and Driver Tech
Opel’s new Intelli-Drive 2.0 brings adaptive cruise, smart lane-change assist and intelligent speed adaptation. A 360-degree camera, night vision (up to 300m) and frequency-selective damping are the other tech upgrades.
