Renault Kiger Facelift Launch on August 24

Renault is launching the Renault Kiger facelift in India on August 24 with a new design, new features and a big boost in safety. Since its launch in 2021, Kiger has been a strong player in the compact SUV space and this update is to keep it competitive against rivals like Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza.

Sharper Design Updates

The new Renault Kiger facelift will have a bolder look with a new grille carrying Renault’s latest 2D logo, new bumpers and a sleeker headlamp setup. At the rear, new C-shaped LED tail lamps will add to its modernity, while new alloy wheels and a teased green paint shade will make the SUV stand out more.

Safety Gets a Big Boost

The biggest highlight of the Renault Kiger facelift is its safety package. The SUV will now come with six airbags as standard, a first in its segment. With its existing 4-star Global NCAP rating, this update makes the Kiger one of the safest in the compact SUV space. Features like TPMS, Hill Start Assist and Traction Control will continue.

Interior and Features

Inside, the facelift will get subtle but useful changes. Expect new dual tone upholstery, a refreshed dashboard and a 360-degree camera – a practical feature for city driving. Other key features like wireless charging, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay and a digital driver display will remain.

Engine Line-up Remains the Same

Mechanically, the Renault Kiger facelift sticks with the same two petrol engines as before.

  • 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol producing 71 bhp and 96 Nm
  • 1.0-litre turbo-petrol with 99 bhp and 160 Nm

Both engines will be available with manual and automatic gearbox options including AMT and CVT.

Expected Price and Verdict

Prices for the Renault Kiger facelift are likely to see a small bump compared to the current ₹6.15 lakh–₹11.23 lakh (ex-showroom) bracket.

With sharper styling, a feature-packed cabin, and the significant addition of standard six airbags, the facelift isn’t just a cosmetic update. It positions the Kiger as a stronger, safer contender in the sub-4 metre SUV space.
