Tata Punch Facelift Spied in Pune

The Tata Punch Facelift is getting closer to launch as new spy shots from Pune reveal the key updates. While the rugged stance remains the same, the next-gen version will have a premium cabin loaded with new-age tech. Pitted against the Hyundai Exter and Maruti Fronx, the facelifted model is ready to take the micro-SUV game to the next level.

Major Interior Changes

The biggest change will be inside. The facelift will borrow elements from the Nexon, including a two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo. The facelift is likely to feature a much larger 10.25-inch infotainment display, offering wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, in place of the smaller 7-inch setup.

The driver’s display will also get a boost with a fully digital TFT instrument cluster, while a redesigned climate control panel with touch-based controls has been spotted. Other additions could be a wireless charging pad and new upholstery to make the cabin more premium.

Exterior Changes

On the outside, Tata is being subtle. Expect a revised grille, new LED DRLs and fresh alloy wheels to differentiate it from the current model. This approach also helps to maintain a clear distinction between the Punch EV and the ICE version.

Engine and Safety

Mechanically, nothing new. The Punch Facelift will continue with the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine (87.8 PS and 115 Nm) with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT options. The i-CNG variant with twin-cylinder tech will stay, with talk of an AMT option in the works.

On safety, Tata will raise the bar again. The Punch already has a 5-star GNCAP rating, and reports suggest six airbags could become standard across the range.

Launch and Price

No official date yet, but the Tata Punch Facelift is expected to launch around the festive season this year. Prices will see a slight hike over the current ₹6 lakh to ₹10.32 lakh (ex-showroom).
