When I first saw the Triumph Brat Track 400 test mule pictures, I thought of those retro customs you only see at niche bike meets. There’s something raw about it – that flat bench seat, chunky tyres and a slightly compact stance that tells you it’s built for style and mischief.
Spotted in Europe during final testing, this bike shares its engine with the Speed 400, so a 398.15cc liquid-cooled single making 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm. It’s the kind of power that’s lively without being overwhelming, perfect for city dashes and weekend getaways. The shorter wheelbase combined with the roadster and scrambler design gives it a playful feel you can’t ignore.
The USD fork, rear monoshock and ABS-equipped disc brakes are the same as the Triumphs you trust. With an India launch expected in October 2025 and a price of around ₹2.60 lakh (ex-showroom), it will sit between the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X.
If you’ve been waiting for something with old-school charm but new-age reliability, the Brat Track 400 might just be your next obsession.
