The Honda Shine 100 DX has officially launched in India, offering a refreshed take on the 100cc commuter segment. As part of the brand’s 25th anniversary celebrations, this new variant gets modern styling, smart features and improved comfort for daily riders looking for more from their daily ride.
New Design with Chrome
Up front, the Shine 100 DX features a redesigned headlamp accented with chrome touches, giving it a sharper and more refined look. The side panels get bold graphics, matte finished grab rail, chrome finished gear lever and all black engine casing gives a clean and mature look.
The 10 liter sculpted fuel tank not only enhances the bike’s stance but also blends form with function – gives better knee grip and range between fuel stops.
Digital Console
In a segment still ruled by analog dials, the Shine 100 DX takes a leap forward with a digital LCD instrument cluster. It’s not just for show – riders get info like real time mileage, distance to empty and service due alerts. For daily commuters that’s real utility.
Power and Comfort
It continues with a 98.98cc, single cylinder, fuel injected engine that produces 7.38 PS and 8.04 Nm – enough to tackle city rides with ease. The engine is now OBD2B compliant and uses Honda’s eSP tech for smoother acceleration and better fuel efficiency.
Underneath it uses a diamond type frame paired with telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers that are 5 step adjustable. Along with 17 inch alloy wheels, tubeless tyres and kerb weight of just 103 kg this commuter should feel light and easy to handle in traffic.
Safety and Practicality
The Shine 100 DX features Combined Braking System (CBS) with 130mm front and 110mm rear drum brakes and side stand engine cut off for added peace of mind.
It will be available in four colors: Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic and Geny Gray Metallic.
Price and Rivals
The price will be announced on August 1, 2025 and is expected to be between ₹72,000 to ₹76,000 (ex-showroom). Bookings start from the same day.
It will rival the Hero HF Deluxe Pro, Bajaj Platina 100 and Hero Splendor but will try to win over buyers with its extra features and new design.
