BMW to launch BMW F 450 GS in India by December 2025. Called the “Baby GS”, this new adventure motorcycle replaces the G 310 GS with more power and premium tech.
Adventure-Ready Design Inspired by the Big GS
Production F 450 GS looks like the bigger R 1300 GS. Beak-style front fender, vertically stacked LED headlamps and a compact, muscular stance for touring and light trails. 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, with spoke-wheel option for off-road enthusiasts.
New Engine, Big Leap in Performance
450cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine under the tank. Expected to produce around 48 bhp and 45 Nm of torque. Smooth highway runs and capable trail riding.
Semi-automatic gearbox (likely based on Automated Shift Assistant) along with 6-speed manual. Easier to ride for newbies and touring riders.
175 kg kerb weight. Lighter and more agile than many rivals thanks to magnesium and compact frame.
Tech and Features That Matter
BMW isn’t skimping on features. 6.5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth, multiple ride modes, lean-sensitive ABS Pro. Adjustable USD forks and rear monoshock. Slipper clutch, optional quickshifter and Dynamic ESA on higher variants.
Pricing and Rivals
Local manufacturing by TVS Motor Company means pricing will be competitive. Expected ex-showroom price between ₹4 lakh and ₹5 lakh.
When it hits the market, the BMW F 450 GS will go up against mid-capacity rivals like the KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and Honda NX500.
